Due to the recent changes made to NZS 3604:2011 Winstone Wallboards has taken the opportunity to review the total GIB EzyBrace® offer and in revamping the systems, deliver additional efficiencies. Although we would recommend that these new systems be used in the market as soon as possible, due to the differences between the 2009 and 2011 systems, plans that are consented using GIB EzyBrace® 2009 should be installed using those systems.
GIB EzyBrace® 2011 are fully compliant with NZS 3604:2011, along with vigorous testing of all the systems using the new BRANZ P21 Test and Evaluation Method (2010).

On the 19th May 2011 the Department of Building and Housing issued an information sheet regarding “Changes for Christchurch seismicity” which now requires the use of Chapter 5 from NZS3604:2011 for the Canterbury Earthquake region; Christchurch City Council, the Selwyn District Council and the Waimakariri District Council.
The GIB EzyBrace® 2011 Systems can be used for building designs in the Canterbury Earthquake region.
