The 308 batten system consists of an economical and versatile 16mm batten with a diverse range of clip fixing and suspension options. The 129 batten (a 28mm deep version) is also available and can be used for greater spans or fire rating requirements. All clips fit both the 308 and 129 battens

The 308 batten can be clipped from a truss or joist utilising one of two clips. A third clip, the A239 is available to clip battens to a concrete floor (or wall)

The 226 clip can create a drop (measured from bottom of truss/joist to bottom of batten) of 16-55mm and the 394 clip a drop of 16-155mm. A larger drop of up to 166mm can be created with the A239 clip if suspended from a concrete slab, otherwise and for larger drops a suspension frame system with a TCR (Top Cross Rail) and rod is recommended

The drop/cavity with a suspension systems using the 308 batten start at 140mm and can go over 3.6m. The standard TCR is 25mm deep and can be radinsed on special request for curved ceilings. A 38mm deep version is available for greater span or fire rating requirements.

Use 547 bracket or from timber use the 534 bracket. Cut rod to length and clip to top cross plate using the 2534 clip or 167 sidemount clip if a lower profile/cavity is required.
The 138 clip joins the 308 battens eliminating waste.
The 139 clip connects the top cross plate to the 308 (or 129) batten.
