Winstone Wallboards invited a group of New Zealand's biggest (and littlest) rugby fans to the GIB® Crusaders Kids Day last month at the Crusaders training ground in Rugby Park, Christchurch.

The Winstone Wallboards team hosted a fun-packed afternoon for the children filled with giveaways, food, and games like Tug of War and Rob the Nest. The activities were designed to help the children improve their rugby skills, while also teaching them important values such as teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.

The GIB® Crusaders Kids Day has been running for eight years and is a particularly special event for customers, allowing everyone to come together to celebrate the country's most successful Super Rugby team, promote youth sports and help inspire them to reach their full potential on and off the field and as an extra treat, coach Scott Robertson joined in on the action this year.

The GIB® crew also pitched in, as the day offered a unique opportunity for our team to engage with our valued customers and their families. The crew members were joined by Sally and Lara, two huge Crusaders fans in their last year of high school. The pair have attended every GIB® Crusaders Kids Day for the past eight years, and this year they switched from participating to actively volunteering their time to help us run the photo booth.  

The stories of children heading home that night to sleep in their GIB® Crusader t-shirts, refusing to remove their caps and sharing their experience at school with classmates the next day at news time was incredibly heart-warming and we look forward to next year’s event!
