Winstone Wallboards delighted to celebrate outstanding teamwork at the Master Builders Association Commercial Project Awards.

Setting the benchmark for commercial construction in New Zealand, the Commercial Project Awards recognise the exceptional talent and dedication of the project teams involved in creating the year’s most incredible buildings. The only awards programme to recognise the contributions of the entire project team, the Commercial Project Awards celebrate teamwork and collaboration, essential qualities to create a truly remarkable building, and to bring our industry closer together.

In a year of tough challenges, including skills shortages, project delays and supply chain issues, Winstone Wallboards was thrilled to be presenting the awards, and reflecting on the achievements of some truly talented teams. To celebrate the craftsmanship, innovation and dedication that these teams have displayed, despite the challenges they have faced, reinforces how significant these achievements have been.

As a sponsor of the Residential Projects award, Winstone Wallboards was delighted to see Chancellor Construction recognised for their innovation using terracotta cladding on the Kotuitui housing development. A well-deserved award for an outstanding solution-oriented design.

Vonni Zhang, the Commercial Manager from Chancellor Construction, says the design, materiality, and quality of the build contribute greatly to the success of this landmark development. “The products used in this project have been designed to last the test of time”, she says. "And this is not just in terms of its physical longevity. Its aesthetics are timeless as well”.

The award ceremony was held in Christchurch at Te Pae Convention and Exhibition centre, itself being awarded the Civic Project Award. Project teams came together from all around Aotearoa to celebrate success in commercial construction.
