I am delighted to see that our efforts to improve our delivery process are yielding very positive results. Lead times have reduced to 5 days for all freight into merchant store areas and for standard deliveries into most delivered to site areas. We are committed to improving this even further so that we can provide the best possible service to customers.

While much of the organisation is focused on today’s business, our project team in Tauranga is equally committed to commissioning our new manufacturing and distribution facility. Achieving that outcome took a huge step forward on 18 May when the team successfully put ‘slurry on paper’ and ran board down the line and, beyond our initial plan, through the dryer. We are now very confident that we will be producing high quality board across our full range in the first quarter of our new financial year.

Given the significant supply challenges that we have faced, I thank, congratulate and salute the project team and all those involved along the way who have worked so diligently to keep this huge and complex project true to its original timeline.
